Kelvin Momo, DJ Kent, DBN Gogo and DJ Zinhle are ready to turn Cabo Beach into a festive-season dance floor
Cape Town, your December plans have officially entered the chat!
The Groove Room is stepping out on its own for the first time in the Mother City, bringing a heavyweight line-up of South African electronic music stars to Cabo Beach on 26 December 2026.
Leading the charge are Kelvin Momo, DJ Kent, DBN Gogo, MÖRDA B2B DJ Zinhle and DJ Lag, with Thakzin, JNR SA, International Pantsula and NOT A SHE also joining the party.
From ULTRA stage to its own Cape Town party
The Groove Room started as a dedicated stage at ULTRA South Africa, but it has grown into a culture of its own, bringing together music, fashion, movement and the unmistakable energy of the dance floor.
Now, the concept gets its own standalone Cape Town edition, with organisers promising an immersive production featuring specially designed sound, stage design and production elements.
And judging by this line-up, sitting down might not be an option.
A little Amapiano, Gqom and house? Sharp!
The line-up brings together different generations and sounds from South Africa's electronic music scene.
Kelvin Momo will bring his soulful Amapiano sound, DJ Kent represents the country's house legacy, while DBN Gogo brings contemporary Amapiano energy. Meanwhile, DJ Lag is ready to bring the unmistakable Gqom pulse.
One of the night's big moments will see MÖRDA and DJ Zinhle go back-to-back behind the decks.
The party runs from 16:00 until 02:00 on Saturday, 26 December, giving Cape Town a full festive-season soundtrack.
