Flames, Art, and Bottomless Soft Serve: Nando’s Unveils Its New Stellenbosch Flagship

Stellenbosch just got a whole lot spicier. Nando’s has officially pulled back the curtain on its shiny new flagship restaurant in the historic Woodmill precinct. Surrounded by lush greenery and iconic mountain views, this isn’t just a spot to grab a quick quarter chicken—it’s an entire vibe designed to make you linger way longer than your diet intended.

Settle In, Load Up, and Watch the Fire

Whether you’re rolling through for a family dinner or taking a break from adulting, the new setup has you covered. The star of the show? A dedicated bottomless station packed with unlimited PERi-PERi sauces, soft serve, RUBRO iced tea, and soft drinks.

If you're in a rush, even the drive-thru turns up the heat. A dramatic viewing window gives you a front-row seat to the kitchen, so you can watch the pitmasters work their flame-grilled magic while you wait. Plus, a full-service bar means you can trade your drive-thru hurry for a proper sit-down relax.

Local Heritage Meets 50,000 Pieces of Art

Built by local teams, the architecture blends Stellenbosch’s rich heritage with the site’s industrial roots, using warm terracotta tones and natural lighting.

Making a massive statement at the entrance is Aquifer, a monumental 9-metre-long mosaic by renowned South African artist Clive van den Berg. Crafted from roughly 50,000 hand-cut pieces of stone, glass, and ceramic, it took over 6,000 hours of painstaking work alongside artisans from the Spier Arts Academy.

The Secret Sauce (Literally)

Because no Nando’s launch is complete without a bit of extra gees, the opening celebration doubled as the launchpad for the new limited-edition Siya Sauce. Created in partnership with Springbok captain Siya Kolisi himself, it hits Nando’s tables nationwide from 3 November 2026.

With live beats from DJ Hluma Shoko (@not_a_she) and musician Duncan Johnson, the night proved once again that Nando's doesn't just feed the nation—they feed the culture. Head down to Woodmill, grab a plate, hit the bottomless ice cream, and enjoy Stellenbosch the PERi-PERi way.
